7.20.10 – Hauling Grain and Rock

The past week we have been hauling corn to market and rock to the grain bin sight at Duane’s. All the base rock is in place, and we are hauling in CA6 (roadpack) for the top layer. We anticipate having all the rock hauled by the end of this week. York Bin Company returned to assemble the bin floor, which now leaves the fans, transition augurs and the floor of the wet-holding bin left to complete the project.

Weather conditions have been hot and dry until yesterday’s storm system blew through the area. Rain fall totals ranged from 1.8-2.7″, and it is currently raining as I am writing this post. The attached picture was taken yesterday as the storm was rapidly approaching.
